Recent Webinar: Advancing Data for Children with Disabilities in Education

Discover how new data tools support the inclusion of children with disabilities in education systems.

21 November, 2024 (12:00-1:15 PM CET)

Good-quality data are key to eliminating discrimination based on disability and to accelerating global progress towards inclusive policies and programmes, including in education.

Recent years have seen significant progress in the availability and quality of statistical information on children with disabilities. The Child Functioning Module released by UNICEF and the Washington Group on Disability Statistics in 2016 has been used in more than 60 countries to generate data on the wellbeing of children with disabilities, including in terms of their access to education.

Now there are two new data collection instruments that can be used to gather high-quality data to support inclusion of children with disabilities in education: Child Functioning Module – Teacher Version and the Inclusive Education Module. This webinar introduced these new data collection tools and discussed how they can be used to collect data in surveys and Education Management Information Systems.

The webinar presentations are now available below in English and Russian.
