Leave No Child Behind Dashboard

A comprehensive overview of the various dimensions of child inequity in Europe and Central Asia.

Disaggregated statistics are essential for highlighting disparities and ensuring no one is overlooked in policymaking. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development's commitment to leaving no one behind (LNOB) emphasizes the need to identify marginalized groups through high-quality national household surveys such as Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) and Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS).

To enhance access to such data, the ECA Child Inequity Database aggregates key disaggregated statistics, offering a robust foundation for analyzing inequities. The Leave No Child Behind Dashboard builds on this database, presenting data disaggregated by gender, age, sub-national areas, settlements, socioeconomic status, disability (functional difficulties), ethnicity, and household head's language. This approach provides nuanced insights for targeted analysis and international comparison across MICS countries in the region.

UPDATE: The ECA Child Inequity Database is now accessible through the UNICEF Indicator Data Warehouse, enabling users to explore and download data from this valuable resource.
